APPLICATIONS
Uses of mild steel round bar include precision components, construction, manufacturing, transportation equipment, general fabrication, chemical plants, industrial maintenance, agricultural implements, semiconductors and decorative applications.
GRADES
Two of the widely used grades of mild steel round bars are EN10025 S275 and BS4360 Grade 43A. EN10025 S275 is a popular mild steel grade supplied as hot rolled and is suitable for various general fabrication and manufacturing applications. As a low carbon steel specifications, EN10025 S275 offers low strength with good machinability and can be welded easily. Mild steel grade S275 is used widely in the manufacturing, industrial maintenance, structural and construction industries.
Mild steel grade BS4360 Grade 43A is another widely used carbon structural steels, which is suitable for different engineering applications. Mild steel grade 43A can be easily cut, drilled and welded. It is cheaper than most other mild steel grades and has high formability, which makes it suitable for a range of applications such as building and machinery constructions that do not require wear-resistance and high strength.
