High Quality H-Beam Steel – for Construction & Structural Use

H-beam steel features an "H"-shaped cross-section, offering excellent moment of inertia and bending resistance. It is widely used in steel structure buildings, bridges, support frames, industrial plants, etc. Full-size range available, customizable length, supported by hot-rolled and welded processes.

    Production technology

Hot-rolled H-beams are manufactured through a continuous hot-rolling process. The steel billet is heated above the recrystallization temperature and successively passes through multiple sets of rolling mills, gradually deforming into the final "H"-shaped cross-section. This process achieves synchronous formation of the web and flanges, ensuring dimensional accuracy and uniform mechanical properties of the product.

    Detailed explanations for each step

    Frontend: Steelmaking & Casting

    1. Hot metal pretreatment – Remove sulfur, phosphorus, and other impurities.

    2. Converter/EAF steelmaking – Smelt molten iron/scrap into steel and adjust chemical composition.

    3. Secondary refining (LF/VD) – Further deoxidize, desulfurize, precisely control alloys (V, Nb, Cr, etc.), and remove inclusions to improve purity.

    4. Shaped casting – Cast steel into a beam blank approximating the final H-shape to improve rolling efficiency.

    Backend: Rolling & Finishing

    5. Billet heating – Heat the beam blank in a walking-beam furnace to 1180–1300°C for uniform austenitization.

    6. Breakdown rolling (BD mill) – Roll the heated billet through multiple passes to form a "dog-bone" intermediate blank (total reduction ≥50%).

    7. Universal finishing (CCS mill) – Core forming step using horizontal rolls to control web thickness and vertical rolls to control flange dimensions with high precision.

    8. Sawing and cooling – Cut head and tail with a hot saw, then cool naturally on a cooling bed (upright position to prevent deformation).
